The Nightbound Couriers unfolds in a fantasy world of long nights after the winter solstice. Animals, travelers and small vehicles deliver wishes, apologies, letters, knowledge and seeds. The moon and stars provide navigation. Across the series, the journey moves from searching for a direction toward creating a new one, ending with growth beneath the ground.
The Visual Language
Geometric silhouettes, flat gouache-like color and visible grain give the scenes a quiet structure. A courier, a mode of travel and a sky symbol form the heart of each composition. Forests, coasts and villages change the route, while warm storybook details soften the ordered shapes.
