Rufus Vale

Red optical rhythms and expressive animal portraits create a bold alternative to softer nature art. Rufus Vale’s Red Frequency makes a familiar creature feel like a character with its own independent point of view.

Restricted red, black and light highlights give the collection a cohesive graphic presence. Optical waves contrast with the fur, feathers or heavy silhouette of each animal. Round lenses provide a repeated focal point, while the different heads change the character of the image. Look closely at expression and outline: those details distinguish the designs even when the color palette stays consistent.
